What is it about sourdough bread?

So, the last time my g/f came over was when I was doing my first sourdough experiment, which didn't turn out so well.

I started another batch on Monday, and have been adding to the starter all week. I spoke to my g/f on Wednesday and mentioned that my former WLI was having her 24th birthday tomorrow and would she like to come? Since she always has to work on Saturday, I was NOT expecting her to leap at the opportunity. But she has. So, hot bread and ... ahem ... girlfriend tomorrow! eee!

So, what IS it about this sourdough stuff?

Elections in NZ today (or, I am a bad anarchist, but look at the alternative...)

And if you're there, then bloody get out and vote!

Unless you're going to vote for National, in which case you're probably better staying tucked up at home.

Elections in NZ are over, and the results are in. I'm glad I won't have to stay away from home for the next 3 years. (did I mention? I'm seriously considering going back to England next year; this place/government is starting to wear on me. I can earn lots of $$$ - or £££ - there at the mo).
