Job of the week - KNITTING technician!

One of the arts colleges in London is after a knitting technician to teach knitting workshops and perhaps curate some exhibitions. At a wage of 5000 pound more than what I was getting as an IT technician (of course, I wasn't teaching anyone).

If we didn't know that crafts had hit the mainstream, that would be telling us.

Oooh! That's my job - want one!! No, really. When I was in Melbourne in March I had a long conversation with a lady sitting at a card-table in a yarn store. She works for Patons and just went around Melbourne knitting at people (she was demonstrating seamless joining the day I saw her) and talking about yarn. Talk about fantasy jobs for us yarn-whores.
