I'd personally get an architect to design my house, but from elements I supply. The best ones get you to make drawings and scrapbooks of what you like, and then work with you from there to make the perfect house for YOU. Of course, if you have a firm idea of what you want, you've already got a big chunk of it done.

Grants are good. And a proper advocacy org with full-time, paid and experienced staff would be even BETTER. :-)
