Meh, I'd find it just as offensive if someone tried to define my identity for me based on a few examples of other people failing to define themselves as someone else has decided they should.
Ok, I personally find it a bit weird when someone IDs as a dyke and they're in an ongoing relationship with a bloke. Or admitted they're in love with him. But there are always various circumstances, and I've not yet encountered one person who still IDs as a lesbian when they're in a relationship with a man that is some degree of long-standing and/or obviously committed (such as living together, etc). I mean, there may be some people who are so much into denial, but they must be very few.
So the kind of vehemence that the troll has against what I've described - not to mention policing "worse" offenders - is bewildering to me. Seems very much "the lady doth protest", like Ted Haggard.
(And excuse me if I'm totally missing the point; my brane is tired)
