I was going to ramble on about the Nature article assessing the accuracy of Wikipedia vs Brittanica, but ladybirdsleeps has already done it, with a couple of cogent comments of her own.

And what gets me is that there seem to be any number of people coming out of the woodwork to bitch - why the hell don't they get off their arses and help make it better? Honestly.
