The Guardian is on a roll today
Mar. 22nd, 2006 01:29 pmFirstly, for all you ex (nor not so ex) Goths out there: I have seen the future and it's goth. Opening para:
It's every parent's nightmare. Their apparently well-adjusted child suddenly comes home with hair the colour of a coalface, a face whiter than anything made by Dulux, and announces, "Mummy, I'm a goth." However, according to a new study, parents of goths will probably end up boasting about their son/daughter the doctor, lawyer or bank manager.
Also includes the essential 10 tell-tale signs that your boss is "one of them".
On the "is this April 1st?" theme, the Guardian also has an excerpt from Martha Stewart's new post-prison book, Making prison life that little bit harder.
I had a lot of work to do to get ready for my term of incarceration. Each piece of the pie had to be in order. Many parts of my personal life had to be attended to. When I flew off to the facility, I felt confident that many things could proceed without me because the correct wheels had been set in motion.
You really have to read the whole thing. I laughed till I cried.
