Two observations

1. Working till after midnight makes me the slightest bit fey. (I am officially still working. Just one... more... server needs to reboot)
   
   
2. After checking out a pile of those Bad Girl vids, I realised something about my attraction to those who exercise a lot of power in their professional and other lives. It's no secret I enjoy being around it (I've known that about myself for at least a decade), but it's never been in a butch bottomly kind of way. I just figured out I also enjoy not being subject to that exercise of overt power (except in rare circumstances when I'm being totally clueless; and normally what goes around comes around in those circs). The amount of respect for me that implies is pretty damn humbling, actually.

ETA: And that post just serves to illustrate the point that you don't open your mouth until the server is up! Argh! It came up (after 20 minutes), but half the services wouldn't start. I applied the magic Windows fix¹, and when it came up again, it reported half the disk array is degraded. Probably one of the controllers. Since I'm a nice person, I'm not going to hassle the SAN guy at this hour. He can fix it in the morning.

¹ A reboot. What else? See, anyone can be a techie, it works on Windows Server operating systems as well!
