No, and I have to say that a novel that appears to be conflating the aims of the UN with a pseudo-fascist state is not really one I'm that interested in reading. I mean, if the author had called the baddies something else, it might be worth reading, but that's a bit of an obvious dig.
If it isn't clear, I'm actually more in favour of bodies like the UN carrying out world policing, not self-appointed nations who act all shocked and surprised when their input is not welcomed.
(Disclaimer - my grandfather served with UN forces off and on for 15 years post WWII. What they did wasn't perfect, but it was better than the alternatives on offer at the time.)
