1. What kind of soap is in your bathtub right now?
I generally don't use soap, I use liquid body wash. I really need to rethink this, because the packaging is wasteful. However, I don't like soap sitting ickily by the shower and most of it being wasted down the drain.

2. Do you have any watermelon in your refrigerator?
It's winter.

3. Is there anything moldy in your refrigerator?
No.

4. Are there any dirty dishes in your sink?
Yes, I cooked dinner for two last night, and I still haven't washed my dishes. Bad me! I did wash the wok, though.

5. What would you change about your living room?
I'd have one of my own? Actually, I need a decent couch, room to put more bookshelves, and more bookshelves.

6. Are the dishes in your dishwasher clean or dirty?
I don't have a dishwasher.

7. Do you have a can of mushrooms in your pantry?
Ick.

8. White or wheat bread?
Wholewheat, or, actually, generally rye or some other wholegrain bread.

9. What is on top of your refrigerator?
A shallow dish with garlic and limes in it, and my (clean) wok.

10. What color is your sofa?
Um, blue, I think. It's got a broad-striped Middle-Eastern-type throw on it.

11. What color or design is on your shower curtain?
White fabric.

12. How many plants are in your home?
One.

13. How many candles are in your home?
Two in use and 200 waiting in the cupboard (yay Ikea).

14. Is your bed made right now?
Yep, for once.

15. If you have a coffee pot, what color is it?
I have an espresso machine which I need to get rid of because I don't use it (don't believe Choice magazine's recommendations about espresso makers!)

16. Electric or standard can opener?
I actually don't understand why people have the electric kind, unless it's a commercial kitchen or they have some kind of problem with their hands. Basically, it's one of those items it would never occur to me to buy.

17. Theme in your living room?
Cheapish and painless to ship or discard.

18. Colors in the bedroom?
Olive-green "feature wall" and light mushroomy other walls.

19. Comet or Soft Scrub?
The semi-hard stuff that comes in a tub (I don't fancy paying for water, and it works well, and keeps packaging down).

20. Is your closet organized?
Ho ho ho!!! That would involve putting things away properly!

21. What color is the flashlight that you use the most?
Dark blue semi-translucent plastic.

22. What kinds of things are in your junk drawer?
Tape measures, tools (bike, car and "general"), sellotape, duct tape, scissors, clothespegs. My kitchen junk drawer has teatowels, lightbulbs, fabric shopping bags and serviettes.

23. Do you drink out of glass or plastic most of the time at home?
Glass.

24. Do you have iced tea made in a pitcher right now?
I don't drink iced tea.

25. If you have a garage, is it cluttered?
I don't have one.

26. Curtains or blinds?
Blinds.

27. How many pillows do you sleep with?
One. Four on the bed. One needs to be propped up for reading!

28. Do you sleep with any lights on at night?
No.

None.

30. How often do you vacuum?
Weekly.

Standard.

32. What color is your toothbrush?
Blue and white.

No, I live in a flat, so I don't have a front porch. And my doormat wouldn't say "Welcome" either.

34. What is in your oven right now?
Nothing.

35. Is your microwave clean or dirty?
I don't have one.

Yes, and I'm not telling you what it is. :-D

37. Chore you hate doing the most?
Dusting, tidying and putting things away.

A lava lamp, although it's not old.

Hahaha! See above re "flat".

No yard - if I had one though, I would mow it.

The rubbish bin.

The one on the bathroom cabinet, and two stupid mirror doors on the bedroom closet. I hate those things - I don't like to look at myself that much (or at all, unless it's to ensure I'm presentable).

43. Do you have any hidden emergency money around your home?
No.

44. What color are your walls?
Same as the bedroom walls. I would never have bare white or yellow or pink.

45. Which rooms in your house have wallpaper?
None.

46. Do you have a peephole in your front door?
Yes.

47. Do you keep any kind of protection weapons in your home?
For chrissakes. No, I am not living in some country at war or in the middle of the wop-wops.

48. What does your home smell like right now?
Japanese sandlewood incense (not as overpowering as the Indian kind).

49. Fave candle scent?
Yuck, I don't like candle scents.

50. What kind of pickles (if any) are in your refrigerator right now?
Gherkins. I don't have any of the yellow Japanese daikon pickles at present, although I often do.

51. Who are in the pictures you displayed?
I don't have any pics of people displayed. I have a couple of landscape photos.

52. What color is your favorite bible?
Please. That's what teh intarwebs are for, looking up random bible quotes.

53. Do you have plenty of cabinet space in your kitchen?
Not enough.

Yes.

55. How many tvs do you have?
None.

One.

57. Do you have a housekeeper?
No, but I would if I shared a house with someone.

58. What style do you decorate in?
I haven't evolved a "style" yet - I haven't ever lived in permanent space.

Solids generally, but I like some nice prints.

60. Is there a smoke detector in your home?
Yes.

61. In case of fire, what are the items you would grab if you only could make one quick trip?
My passport and wallet.

Yes.

63. What temperature in your home is most comfortable to you?
I dunno  - I haven't lived with a thermostat. Warmer than it is now? But not too warm.

What about using one of those close-and-snap plastic soap holders meant for travel? That combined with a quick-shut-off valve for your shower head probably combines the least soap-getting-icky and soap-going-down-drain possible with the low-packaging of solid soap.
