There's a certain song that really sums up the 90s for me, and I looove the chorus.

You let me violate you
You let me desecrate you
You let me penetrate you
You let me complicate you

Help me
I broke apart my insides
Help me
I've got no soul to sell
Help me
The only thing that works for me
Help me get away from myself

(Chorus)
I wanna fuck you like an animal
I wanna feel you from the inside
I wanna fuck you like an animal
My whole existence is flawed
You get me closer to God

You can have my isolation
You can have the hate that it brings
You can have my absence of faith
You can have my everything

Help me
You tear down my reason
Help me
It's your sex I can smell
Help me
You make me perfect
Help me
Become somebody else

(Chorus)

Through every forest
Above the trees
Within my stomach
Scraped off my knees
I drink the honey, inside your hive
You are the reason I stay alive

And, heh, it's not just one person it reminds me of. Chocolate fish to those who know the artist and/or song title! :-)

Oh, and the equally nasty nasty director's cut of the video is on YouTube.

No names, no fish!

It turns out I know a bunch of people on l/j who know about nasty music... what a surprise! (not)

You need to hear Mandy Rollins play it in a hot dark sweaty club filled with near naked gay boys.

There are people who don't know? I remember dancing around the kitchen to that one at the beginning of my PhD.

Fish for you!

And yeah, I was kind of reminiscing about it at work today (not in graphic detail), and my ex boss was giving me this DUH? look. He's only a year older than me, FFS.

Fishie!

Perhaps I should have made it a bit more challenging by posting only one line (not the first one). Heh.

As for the first song you did anything to, I think mine was Michael Jackson - Don't Stop Till You Get Enough. I officially feel Old. And the first time I shagged my first g/f, we were lying there in the afterglow, and that fucking song by Cutting Crew, I Died In Your Arms Tonight, came on the radio. Ok, we died laughing (because we both loathed it), but I can never forget that bloody thing. Way to ruin the moment!

HAAAAA. HA ha aha hee. Hoo! I deny snorting with laughter anywhere in there, but HEE.

The worst music that's ever happened to me is actually kind of hilarious, in that it ended up on Her Big Breakup Tape To Me about two weeks after the fact. And was hilariously overwrought and all "I AM COURTNEY LOVE, AND TAKE EVERYTHING." Oh, music. Such power.

Erm, a BREAKUP tape? God, and I thought I had two obsessive exes. Hah, that turning up on the doorstep at 3am thing was childsplay compared to turgid breakup music!

Really. It's been A Thing. I have a small binder of mixtapes, and for some reason, there's always one when things are just starting, and one when things are teetering on the cliff to awful.

The breakup ones are way better, though. Really. Way better! Because often they're songs that are trying to pretend to be affectionate but are actually all Belle And Sebastien Seeing Other People/Imogen Heap's Whatever, etc. And I really prefer the subtleties of the car wreck to the easy high of OMG I Really Really Like You Have Some Folk Rock.

Now with extra cheese.

And the obligatory chocolate fish!
