Do not attempt clothes shopping at the post-Xmas sales at the mall when it's the first day of your period. You feel blobtastic, so nothing is going to look good, and if it might, you're too discombulated to actually purchase anything. Also, malls are horrible, as is clothes shopping in general.

Also, if you give up on the shops, discovering you put your shirt back on inside-out in the last changing room makes you feel like an idiot after having walked around for 15 minutes without noticing. The taxi back home - after deciding that waiting twice as long for a bus as it would ordinarily take to walk back would be stupid - was the first sensible decision you made all day.

Beer and Neurofen naow plz.

Yick! I feel for you. I dislike clothes shopping and crowds at the best of times. Hope you're feeling better now.

Yes, clothes shopping and crowds, meh. One thing about the shopping centre that's nearest home is it's not the cheap and cheerful kind, so the crowds aren't totally manic, even at these busy times. The less said about buying clothes, the better.

And thanks for the warm thoughts; I'm keeping the painkillers stoked up. :-)

Yay sensible decisions, as for the shirt inside out, at least that would have protected you from fairies leading you astray!

Heee! Just as well I was fairy-proof, as I might have ended up with a lovely pink or chartreuse foofy number. Or, god help us, a skirt. Very Midsummer's crossed with Twelfth Night. ;-)

I did that yesterday too at the DFO.
We've just moved house, I'm still detoxing from moving/xmas binge, I've had a headache for days and I'm also bloated. ALSO the clothes are all the wrong shape.

Yep, there is definitely a time and a place. I have enough problems finding clothes that fit me and don't look shite at the best of times, let alone when our bodies are conspiring against us.

Heh, all I wanted was a few shirts for work, and maybe - hah! hah! hah! - a linen jacket, not in beige or white. I don't understand Canberra - there are never linen jackets around.

I did find some ok shirts for 1/2 price at Country Road, but that's when I bailed.

Hands Trix a beer, leads her off to table in back to commiserate (about Shopping Hell, of course, not Period Issues).
