Dear subconscious: Piss off

Christ, I don't know what was going on in my brain last night, but my dreams were totally full of sex last night. Not one, but two ex-lovers, and the cute chickie at work. One of the ex-lovers dreams was particularly irritating, because it was the relationship that broke up because I'm poly and she ostensibly isn't. In the dream, both she and her current partner were totally fine with the poly thing, and it was all rainbows and unicorn farts and happy (queer) families. As for the dream about the cute chickie at work, let's just say she was unusually skilled and assertive (in terms of asking for what she wanted) for someone who hasn't had lesbian sex (I assume). Wish fulfilment or what?

I also have no idea what brought that on, which is the irritating part. I haven't been thinking about sex particularly, nor relationships nor any of the people concerned in any different way to what I do in general. Heh, also, I don't know why I have such a fetish about figuring out why I might have weird dreams. It's like I expect my brain's inner workings or triggers to be logical or something. :-)

Where are you in your menstrual cycle?

I often have really sexual dreams right before I get my period especially if I haven't had any physical stimulation in a while. The last time I had a really vivid dream about making love with Adrian Pasdar, of the kind that if I could induce them at will, I'd probably never bother dating again; on the other hand, another one became one of my most disturbing fics evar.

Ahah, there is that. It's just after my period, which is el primo libido time for me (and yes, I've been definitely low on the physical stimulation front). I also feel horny just before my period, but that's often for meeean sex.

As for dreaming to order, that would be totally handy. Alas.

Oddly, the meeean sex time for me is when I'm ovulating (or should be, since I got my tubes tied years ago I really don't pay much attention to it). If you mean by that what I think you do.

I don't get horny at that point in my cycle. Just before my period is when I get... scattered. You know that thing that cats do where they'll randomly decide to bite you and then run away? Like that. Can't settle to any one thing; there's randomness in my brain.

Oh, lord, I can related to ditz-brain at that time as well. Also, clumsy. However, with the meeean libido just before I start my period, it is generally literally the day before - it's often when I know that it's imminent. The scatterbrainedness is over a few days, generally.

For years all those hormonal cycle things were somewhat predictable. Now the effects are random and all jumbled together. Sorry, I can't warn you which days I might bite and run away, or which days I will want to reorganize the whole filing system.
