(the kiwi electronica band, btw)
The music may be cool, but the lyrics are boring
The music may be cool, but the lyrics are boring
I'll have some other words here, but the lyrics are boring
But the lyrics are boring
But the lyrics are boring
Are boring
Oh, hullo, I've changed some of the words
But it really is still boring
There's not much variety in these words
And it's really fucking boring.
The music may be cool, but the lyrics are boring
But the lyrics are boring
But the rhymes are boring
Are boring
Are BORING
....
(rinse and repeat 500x, for every goddamned song - that one was recorded 5 years ago, and tonight I'm listening to the album they released this year... ::sigh::)

Boooor-ing song,
We have to sing the same refrain,
And the same refrain again,
Boring song,
A boring song.
... Oh wait, I don't have to type the whole damned thing out for you here, since here it is on YouTube. Enjoy!

Date: 2009-10-24 08:48 pm (UTC)I'd rather listen to Minuit's four repetitive lines per song which are generally excellent than three different verses of dull nonsense, which is the standard for pop bands.

Date: 2009-10-25 05:57 am (UTC)Totally agreed about catchy pop music, but the vast majority of Minuit's oeuvre seems to have the same meter throughout - I love their music (I have all of the CDs), but I wish the lyrics had a bit more variety between tracks!

While this one has a way more repetitive chorus, but it doesn't have that chant: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXxlBse1Npk
