I subscribe to Choice, which is a consumer advocate organisation, like Consumer in NZ and Which? in the UK. They do dinky tests and tell you what the best product is to buy, whether it does what it's supposed to, and if it's up to standard.
So, they're doing a feature on buying a bra, and describe the training that qualified fitters get (you know, the old ducks with the tape measures that breathe loudly all over you, generally found lurking around the changing rooms):
And, burned out from blogging yet?
I'm pleased to report I'm not, but I haven't been doing it for long (although this L/J is my second go around).

A couple of years? Gosh. I've evidently missed my métier... (seriously? no. the idea of feeling up strange women's breasts gives me the willies)What does it take to become a qualified fitter?
Fitters in department stores are usually trained by bra manufacturers, with further assistance and supervision from experienced fitters in the stores. When fitters make the grade, they’re given a badge or certificate. It takes a couple of years of hands-on experience. (Italics mine)
