(and yep, fun movie, best one so far, couple of bits could have been left in, but not terribly missed yadda yadda)
...am I the only person to think that Emma Watson and Orlando Bloom were separated at birth? Especially with the Eyebrows of Emotion Barely Held in Check.

I'm sure you've sussed it already, but suburbs to check out are Forrest, Kingston (which I really like. Cafes.), Griffith and Manuka, with Narrabundah, Deakin and Yarralumla in second place. I forgot to mention that Canberra is pretty much laid out in "pods" (I'm sure there's another name for them), so if you live in the same pod as your work, you're pretty sweet. It doesn't obviate the fact that buses are fairly crap, but they're not too bad in rush hour (such as it is here), and the biking is definitely the best option. Lots of bike routes here, as well as the relative flatness.

Date: 2005-12-05 11:59 pm (UTC)I know about the pod concept because I visited there in 1990 with my family and spent a pile of time staring at maps. I like maps. More recent visits (late 90s), however, have been mostly for SCA stuff and I was getting driven around by people who knew their way, so I didn't pick much up then.
Would you believe, whereis.com.au was down all yesterday? WTF?
