... and don't spare the jets.

I will be spending about 10 delicious days back home in NZ, so I will be posting sporadically at best. I will be catching up with my first g/f, whom I haven't seen for about 10 years, so that'll be a blast from the past. Ooer!

Friends, landscape, prospective baby-on-its-way, a smidge of family, music shopping and hopefully some hot pools. Oh, and fresh seafood. What else does one need? :-)

Go you! And if you should happen to run into my Electric Landlady, her gf, Swedish Lesbian#1, the baby, the Kiwi and Swedish Lesbian #2...
Say hi.

(Now I'm reminded of a Sydney bottle shop conversation:
Drunk Guy: Hey, you're from London! D'you know Lucy?"
Me: *sarcastically* Why, yes! Yes, I know Lucy!
Drunk Guy: Cool! What's she doing these days?)

Hah! It's funny, I met [livejournal.com profile] damned_colonial's flatmate the other week. She's originally from Wellington, and spent a few years living in Auckland in the same suburbs that used to be my stomping ground.

Other than my having attended a party in a house that she may have lived in, we had never met and didn't know any of the same people. Honestly, I couldn't believe it either...!

If I stumble across any Swedish/Kiwi combinations, I'll be sure to pass on your love. They might be surprised, pleasantly or otherwise. Heh.

Well, you can do the same for me - if you ever meet Samoan Claire, who was "best buds" with Nikki at Auckland Girls' Grammar, give her my best. Oh, and my ex Vanessa, and my ex Jo, and Shazza (do you know how hard it was having my first name and having a best friend called "Sharon" in London? Honestly). I'm not even going to mention Dave, Jev, Andy and Tim and Martin et al at BBK... in fact, let's all join hands for a rousing rendition of It's A Small World After All. ;-)

I'm so metrosexual - I just had sushi. But the lemon fish is definitely on my agenda! Probably on my road trip - that would be the appropriate time. :-)

Lucky you! Have fun. :)

Now you've got me thinking of all the yummy NZ stuff I miss. Shrewsbury biccies, Chocolate macaroons, Chocolate fish, NZ winegums (yes they are different to the Aus ones ;)), glohearts.... best I stop now and go to work.

I really hope you enjoy your trip, I have to admit to being a tad envious. :)

Hee! Well, you never know what might find its way into my luggage. At least we can buy chocolate slabs in Oz - which is that I could have killed for when I was in the UK. That and Maggi onion dip with reduced cream. I spent nearly 10 quid at the kiwi shop off Trafalgar Sq for the makings once. But it was worth it. :-)
