Just to let everyone who might be the slightest bit interested know, I am officially "seeing" someone else.

And it's Very Nice, thank you. Really, how else can it be with a witty, intelligent, astute, politically-bloody-onto-it, genuinely poly, open, local, sane, and *gasp* attractive woman?

My original girlfriend (you know, the one with the two blokes, three kids, dog and cat) - who will hereby be known as the OGF - is happy about the whole situation. Everything's great on the home front there - we are not parting ways in any sense. In fact, she feels more secure (yes, poly people are strange). And since I like the "new person's" current partner, that's just groovy all round.

Oh, and the "new person" will be known as the CDL, for reasons not to be divulged here. The last component of the acronym is "lady", just to annoy you. :-)

So, I hope that's all queerclear. Any enquiries may be placed in writing and will be answered at the discretion of management.

Woo-hoo! How super! I hope things continue as happily for you. [Have you considered reading Lois out loud to each other, while roasting marshmallows in candlelight?]

Alas! She isn't an SF fan. And likes (psst!) heavy metal music. But you know, the redeeming qualities are legion... :-)

The handy thing about being poly is that the Bear will happily attend any gigs I fancy with the possible exception of Iron Maiden. However, I saw them relatively recently and they were shite anyway. How the mighty have, well, not so much fallen, but disappeared up their own arse...

Anyway, what's Lois?

See, I'm envious that you have someone you can go listen to your cathartic music with. Shame about the Iron Maiden - I bet that cost a bomb too. Still, it's good that it's music that I can grok a taste for, as opposed to, say, gangsta rap.

As for Lois, alas... not quite the thing one reads to each other on those snuggled-up evenings unless you're both fans. Although here's a selection of quotable quotes (http://www.quotationspage.com/quotes/Lois_McMaster_Bujold/) for an inkling of why Jerrie and I are so inclined.

For bedtime reading, I have a fondness for school-girl stories, actually. Real ones. It's all in the reading. :-)

Be sure to tell her that Ted Nugent's "My Love is like a tire-iron" is a tender love song; my sweetie says so. ;)

Actually, I quite like some metal songs [in, admittedly, very small {muted} doses].

Check out vh1.com . VH1 classic recently aired a show on the 40 greatest metal songs there might be info about on the website. [I found out about the show & taped it, but, needless to say, was out of the room when it was watched.]
