Actually, I don't even know why I bothered taking it - I knew the result in advance. :-)

Snufkin

You scored 78 moominishness! You are Snufkin. Well get you, aren't you special. Snufkin is basically what Aragorn (y'know - from LoTR) would be if he was a little crappier and wore girly clothes. Beloved by all, but a loner by nature, you're cool as fuck and you KNOW it.

ETA: Fixed the "snuffkins". Bah.

Augh, they mispelled Snufkin!!

I scored Moominmamma but they seem only to be working off four options in that test. Must hunt up a more complex one. Or if I really want to go mad, write one myself.

Bugger! I meant to edit that. Will do now.

And, yes, I think more options is a good idea. Nothing much you can say about handbags, though, really. :-)

*resisting elbow-nudging moves* - you're busy enough, although you'd make the best test, of course.

I found one on quizilla (http://quizilla.com/users/StrawberryMoose/quizzes/Which%20Moomin%20Valley%20character%20are%20you%3F/), but it said I was Moominpappa which renders it pretty suspect I reckon. Will write one eventually.

For you I would have picked the Joxter rather than Snufkin. He's the original anarchist in my mind. Bear is Toft in a serious way. I'm a odd combination of Mymble and Fillyjonk. I must make a Fillyjonk icon for my anally retentive posts.

Huh. I came up with Moominpappa as well.. even when I changed the answers I vacillated between.

My favourite Snufkin moment is when he starts pulling down all the park keeper's notices in the park and telling all the grass that can grow how it likes. And all the little children follow him round, heh. I liked the Hattifatteners as well. I suppose I like things a bit too much for Snufkin. Perhaps I can also relate to Joxter, especially in my more questioning and indolent moods. :-)

I haven't read the book with Toft in it, alas. Is that the last one?

Heh, I can totally see both of those characters in you. No-one pushes the Mymble around, and, indeed, the Fillyjonk would suit well for your more particular moments. :-)

This is even better than astrology - more variables to choose from!

Snufkin and Joxter

Bugger! I got my analysis wrong, it was the park signs I was thinking of and for some reason I had them in my "Exploits of Moominpappa" memory file, not my "Moominsummer Madness" memory file.

Toft is in "Moominvalley in November" - and also in the book of short stories "Tales from Moominvalley" IIRC.

There you go: we were totally on the same page after all. :-)

As for Moominvalley in November, I haven't read that one, I don't think. (I'm a little vague on the book names, I only read them a few times, years and years ago.)

Only I am Snufkin. I even play the harmonica (very very badly).

Actually, I'm probably more like Too-Ticky, but I worshipped Snufkin as a child.

But do you bugger off to mysterious places for years on end without (hardly) telling anyone? And then there is fishing. :-)

Alas, you pwn me with the harmonica. Although the only instruments I can play are wind instruments (yes, I know, feeble).

Actually, it's been so long since I haltingly parped out 'Sittin' On Top of the World', I don't think I'm allowed to say I play. But now I am going to learn. I just decided. My Marine harp is still sitting in a bowl on my bookshelf, lonely and unloved.

Honestly, that image of you parping away on your harmonica is just too cute for words. Learning is good. :-)

*resolving to practise more myself!*
